FILTERS
Our Site and mobile applicable offers various filters to aid you with finding products that are relevant to your specified needs.
Dietary and Lifestyle Filter
The Dietary and Lifestyle Filter is provided by a third-party service provider.
Our third-party service provider works with registered dieticians and regulatory specialists to identify each ingredient associated with Dietary and Lifestyle Filter. Using this information, our third party service provider analyzes a product's ingredient list found on the product's packaging and other product information (such as "may contain" statements) found on the product's packaging to understand if the product contains any of the ingredients, allergens or certifications which matches the dietary or lifestyle filter(s) you selected.
You should know that products indicating the presence of a specific ingredient or allergen in a "may contain" statement found on the product packaging may not have been produced under controlled conditions for that ingredient or allergen and we or our third-party service provider cannot guarantee that they will be suitable for your specified dietary or lifestyle needs.
You must not rely solely on the Dietary and Lifestyle Filter, or on the information provided on our Site or mobile application, as products are regularly improved and the product information, ingredients, nutritional guides and dietary or allergy advice may occasionally change. Walmart Canada does not accept any liability for any inaccuracies or incorrect information contained on our Site and mobile application.
The Dietary and Lifestyle Filter has been developed to improve your browsing experience by helping to identify products which may be appropriate for your dietary and lifestyle needs. The Dietary and Lifestyle Filter is not an alternative to medical, nutritional, wellness or other healthcare advice and we recommend that you always read the label carefully before using or consuming any products and always consult your healthcare professional for advice and treatment. For up to date information on products, please contact the manufacturer

Ingredient Preference Filter
The Ingredient Preference Filter has been developed working with regulatory specialists to identify ingredients associated with each of the health and wellness search filters. Each product's ingredient list found on the product's packaging and other product information (such as "may contain" statements) found on the product's packaging have been analyzed to understand if the product contains any of the ingredients, allergens or certifications which matches the filter(s) you selected.
You should know that products indicating the presence of a specific ingredient or allergen in a "may contain" statement found on the product packaging may not have been produced under controlled conditions for that ingredient or allergen and we cannot guarantee that they will be suitable for your specified needs.
You must not rely solely on this Ingredient Preference Filter, or on the information provided on our Site or mobile application, as products are regularly improved and the product information, ingredients, nutritional guides and dietary or allergy advice may occasionally change. Walmart Canada does not accept any liability for any inaccuracies or incorrect information contained on our Site and mobile application.
The Ingredient Preference Filter has been developed to improve your browsing experience by helping to identify products which may be appropriate for your requirements. The Ingredient Preference Filter is not an alternative to medical, nutritional, wellness or other healthcare advice and we recommend that you always read the label carefully before using or consuming any products and always consult your healthcare professional for advice and treatment. For up to date information on products, please contact the manufacturer.

Policy Principles:
Walmart Canada takes pride in welcoming customers with disabilities to its stores. Walmart is committed to providing a safe, convenient, and dignified shopping experience for its customers with disabilities.
Scope:
This Policy applies to all Associates of Walmart Canada who provide service to our customers.
Key Points:
Store Access and Facilities
Each Walmart store is wheelchair accessible and each Walmart store permits service animals to enter the store.
Assisting Customers with Disabilities - Merchandise
Customers with disabilities who experience difficulty in carrying merchandise are permitted to leave items at the Courtesy Desk or the Layaway Desk until such time as they are finished shopping. A Walmart associate will assist by ensuring that all items to be purchased are moved from the Courtesy Desk or the Layaway Desk to the checkout. If requested, a Walmart associate will ensure that the merchandise is safely carried out of the store.
Movator / Elevator
Customers with disabilities who use a manual wheelchair, motorized wheelchair/scooter, wheeled walker, or other mobility-assisting device must be accompanied by a Wal-Mart associate when using an in-store movator. Walmart employs movator greeters to ensure that customers reach their destination safely. In stores in which an elevator exists, customers with disabilities are encouraged to use the elevator for greater safety.
Manual and Motorized Wheelchairs
All Walmart stores contain manual wheelchairs and some contain one or more motorized wheelchairs for use by customers with disabilities (or by the elderly).
Use of a manual or motorized wheelchair is free of charge and is based on in-store availability.
Use of a manual or motorized wheelchair is restricted to the store’s interior premises and to the front sidewalk in front of the store’s main entrance. A manual or motorized wheelchair must not be taken into the parking lot or into a mall or adjacent stores.
To access a manual or motorized wheelchair, a customer may simply enter the store and, with the assistance of one of our associates, take a manual or motorized wheelchair from the location at which manual or motorized wheelchairs are kept. Alternatively, a family member, friend, or driver of the customer may – upon notifying a Wal-Mart associate - take a manual or motorized wheelchair from the store to the curb of the front sidewalk so that the customer can access the manual or motorized wheelchair directly from his/her vehicle.
For safety reasons, Walmart may at any time request that a customer (or his/her family member, friend, or driver) refrain from leaving the store with a manual or motorized wheelchair until a Walmart associate can be appointed to accompany the customer (or his/her family member, friend, or driver) and the manual or motorized wheelchair to the front sidewalk.
Assistive Devices
A customer may need to use an assistive device to enable him/her to access Walmart’s goods and services. This could include a wheelchair (see above) or other piece of mobility equipment (cane, walker, scooter, oxygen tank, etc.) or a device that permits the customer to communicate more effectively (magnifier, GPS, audio player, amplification device, computer, communication board (communicates symbols, words or pictures), speech generating device (‘speaks’ when a symbol, word or picture is pressed), etc.). Walmart respects and permits the use of assistive devices.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted to enter Walmart stores as companions to customers with disabilities.
In many cases, given the type of animal and/or the animal’s identifying markings (eg. a harness), it will be readily apparent that the animal is a service animal and the animal shall be permitted to enter the store without question.
In certain cases, it may not be easy to identify an animal entering the store as a service animal. In such cases, for health and safety purposes, a Walmart associate shall ask the customer to confirm that the animal is a service animal. Walmart may deny admission of the animal into the store until such time as the customer can produce a tag or card or other document from a public health authority or medical practitioner confirming that the animal is a service animal. If the customer provides a document, it must be on official letterhead from the issuing health authority or medical practitioner and it must contain a telephone number. If the Walmart associate questions the validity of a document provided by the customer, the customer should be granted temporary access and a copy of the document should be made so that the authenticity of it can be immediately determined by calling the telephone number on the document. If the document’s authenticity cannot be verified, the customer should be informed and asked to remove the animal from the store.
Support Persons
Support persons are welcome to accompany and provide assistance to customers with disabilities in Walmart stores.
Walmart Associates
Customers with disabilities are encouraged to ask Walmart associates for assistance with any needs that may arise during their shopping experience at Walmart. Walmart associates should attempt to provide assistance to customers with disabilities and in doing so, should openly and politely engage the customers. If the Walmart associate is unsure how best to provide assistance, then the Wal-Mart associate should ask a management associate for assistance and/or the Walmart associate should ask the customer how he/she believes Walmart can be of assistance.
All Walmart Field associates receive training about customers with disabilities through a eLearning (Training) module. For newly hired associates, the module is to be completed within three (3) months of being hired. The module provides instruction on the following, among other things: the concept of accessible service, how to interact with customers with disabilities; how to use any equipment or devices available to help provide goods, services or facilities to people with disabilities; how to interact with people who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or support person; the process of providing feedback by a customer and the content of this policy.
Disruption of Services
In Ontario, if a store experiences a disruption of a service (whether planned or not) that may impact a customer with a disability, a notice will be posted at the Courtesy Desk and at the location of the disruption to alert customers of the disruption. The notice will advise of the location of the disruption, the reason for the disruption, how long the disruption is expected to last and a description of alternative facilities or services available (if any).
Provision of Feedback
In Ontario, a notice will be posted at the Courtesy Desk indicating the various ways in which a customer with a disability may provide feedback about his/her shopping experience at Walmart. These include, but are not limited to, speaking directly to a manager, contacting the National Customer Relations team or filling out a customer service survey. A similar notice will be posted for online shoppers.
Provision of accessible formats and communication supports
Walmart will provide alternative communications format and communication supports upon request. Please contact us at cacompliance@email.wal-mart.com. We will respond in a timely manner.
Availability of Policy and Notices
If a customer with a disability requests a copy of this policy and/or any of the notices below, a copy should be provided in a format that accommodates the customer’s disability.
Responsibilities:
All Associates will:
Understand and comply with the expectations of The Customers with Disabilities Policy
Comply with all Walmart policies, standards and procedures, and complete all training applicable to their position
Ask questions where appropriate to ensure they understand and abide by Walmart’s expectations relating to conduct and job performance
Management will:
Communicate to Associates expectations relating to Customers with Disabilities, including the expectations of Walmart’s policies, standards and procedures
Seek guidance from Human Resources, as required, when determining how to apply this Policy or related standards
Communication:

Walmart will take the following steps to make sure all publicly available information is made accessible upon request by January 1, 2016: assess all forms of information provided to the public and determine if there is anything that would make it hard for someone with a disability to read, see, hear or understand and establish processes for ensuring alternate formats are available in a timely manner.

Walmart will accommodate people with disabilities during the recruitment, assessment and hiring processes and during employment.
